- Mesmerising new video reveals how artists create characters out of pure batter
- They have been made by Dancakes, two St Louis-based pancake artists
- They use different colours to create shading to make the pancakes realistic
Game of Thrones fans could be waiting up to two years until their favourite fantasy TV show returns to screens.
But at least they can ease their suffering by munching their way through some pancakes that look spookily like some of the HBO drama’s most famous characters.
A mesmerising new video shows how food artists create the spookily realistic portraits of characters such as Danerys Targaryen, Jon Snow and Jaime Lannister using different colours of pancake batter and nothing else.
Dancakes has created Game of Thrones characters out of pancakes. This one is of the King in the North, Jon Snow
Dancakes has made Cersei Lannister entirely out of pancake batter. The pancake artists also made her twin brother and father of her children Jaime Lannister too
Danerys Targaryen, who at the end of the seventh season has agreed to a truce with Cersei Lannister, has also been made out of pancake batter
The intricate treats are the work of pancake artists Dan Drake and Hank Gustafson, of St Louis, otherwise known as Dancakes.
Dancakes make a wide range of pancakes, with those shaped like Game of Thrones characters now proving to be some of their most popular creations.
They have made many of the most popular – and least popular – characters, such as the fearsome Night King, King in the North Jon Snow, Queen of the Andals Cersei Lannister and her twin brother/lover Jaime Lannister.
The pancakes are spookily realistic and even scary in the case of this recreation of the fearsome Night King
Arya Stark has also been made out of batter, from when she was blind while training as one of the Faceless Men. Sansa Stark, her sister, has also been given the pancake treatment
Tyrion Lannister, who is currently fighting on the side of Danerys Targaryen rather than siding with his own sister, the current Queen, has also been made into a realistic pancake
Fan favourite ‘female knight’ Brienne of Tarth has also been turned into an edible treat, as has Ser Davos Seaworth
Ramsay Bolton died at the Battle of the Bastards but he’s come back to life in pancake form now. Bran Stark, the son of the now long-deceased Ned Stark, has also been turned into a pancake
Sorceress Lady Melisandre, otherwise known as the Red Lady, has also been recreated in pancake form. Littlefinger, who died in the last episode of the latest season, has also been made into an edible treat
Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama television series created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss.
It is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R. R. Martin’s series of fantasy novels, the first of which is A Game of Thrones.
The seventh series of the hit show has just finished but fans may reportedly have to wait until 2019 for the eighth and final series.
